Imagine having Whole Foods or Staples sponsor your next event. Or what if Apple became a sponsor for your podcast?

Collaborative sponsorships are an untapped revenue source for entrepreneurs and my friend Charmaine Hammond of Raise a Dream joins me on episode 59 of Amplify Your Success Podcast to share how you can align with highly visible companies who would like access to your followers and clients.

Key Takeaways

  • What collaborative sponsorships are and how they can become your new revenue source.
  • Why sponsors are looking for small business owners just like you to get their message to your followers.
  • How Charmaine has attracted everything from clothing to perfume to travel perks from sponsors.
  • The single biggest mistake you can make when trying to develop sponsor agreements (and it’s a really common sales mistake!)

About the Guest:

Charmaine Hammond has been in the business of changing lives for more than 25 years. This former Correctional Officer (yup! She worked in jails) and Corporate Dispute Resolution Expert now travels the world teaching the principles of communication, sponsorship, and collaboration.

As a bestselling author (of 5 books & featured in 6 others) and professional speaker she has had tremendous success in finding corporate sponsors to fund her printing, graphic design, venues, travel, media, technology, hotels, even her pet food and dog poop bags! She has developed sponsorship relationships with more than 40 sponsors and 60 business partners.

Her recent speaking and book tour, Million Acts of Kindness, involved a 14,000 KM tour across North America in a 32 foot sponsored motor home, hotels sponsored for the team, and more than 40 businesses and retail chains raising funds in their stores/businesses to support this movement….. A lifestyle business is designed for time freedom. Many entrepreneurs create a time-sucking J.O.B. and never have the space to enjoy the money they work so hard to make. When you design a lifestyle business, you’ll create a cash machine designed to free you up to do what you love most.

Whether you are just getting started or are ready to take time away from your business, you’ll find valuable insights in this episode to gain control of your time again.

Key Takeaways

  • What it means to have a lifestyle business (and it’s not just about the money or working from anywhere in the world.)
  • The biggest mistake that successful entrepreneurs make when starting their business (and how to unravel from it if you already made it.)
  • My not-so-secret but often overlooked factor to working 30 hour weeks and having time to do what I love most.

The year 2017 was definitely a challenging year for so many people I know – me included. In addition to getting re-married, I took on a lot of new projects and started to stretch my wings into the new brand for my business. A lot of 2017 was very frustrating, disappointing and challenging as I navigating a lot of new territory!

In Amplify Your Success Podcast episode 55, I share some of my own journey as a business leader over the last 12 months – some of which brings up regret, shame and feeling quite vulnerable. I thought I’d share it with you in the hope of inspiring your own authentic capturing of the lessons and learnings that can shape your success.

Key Takeaways

  • I knew that vulnerability is my super-power, but I was struggling with the identity of “having it all worked out.” I finally found a way through it (and it had to do with recognizing my need to feel safe.)
  • Relationships are essential for long-term success, but a mastermind is type of relationship were your peers have your back so you feel more courageous. I talk about what I learned about relationships this year.
  • Health is like rocket fuel for an entrepreneur, so I recommitted to optimal wellness.
  • With my new goals, I proved to myself how important my mantra of “simplify to multiply” really is to a small business.
  • Having a dedicated, capable team is crucial if you have bold goals and a big vision.
  • I came face to face with my doubt demons (again) last year but one thing helped me regain my courage and confidence as a business leader.
